Organised by the Senlis-Athlé club, the 2023 edition of La Capétienne has three components:
A 21.7km "Competition" Nordic Walking event, timed and classified under the Regional label, counting towards the Nordic Walking Tour and the Hauts de France Nordic Walking Challenge. Qualifying event for the 2024 French Championships;
A 13km "leisure" Nordic walk, unclassified and not timed;
An "Introduction to Nordic Walking" workshop.

The two MN will take in the Pontarmé and Ermenonville forests. There will be two car parks for participants, one opposite the rugby stadium and the other opposite the Lycée Hugues Capet.
La Capétienne supports the Association de Pédiatrie et de Néonatalogies du Groupement Hospitalier Public du Sud de l'Oise (paediatric and neonatal association of the Groupement Hospitalier Public du Sud de l'Oise), one of whose aims is to improve the reception and living conditions of hospitalised children and their families at the GHPSO, and to enable children to take part in recreational and cultural activities both inside and outside the hospital.
